In this "how-to" episode, we will address the commands of God to ask, seek and knock from Matthew 7:7-8. Why does God want this from us? What are the benefits when we obey them, and what is lost when we don't? Dr. Patty breaks down the biblical definitions of the key words in this verse to show the deeper meaning that the Lord has in them. What kinds of things does God want us to ask for? What does it mean to seek God with all your heart? What does knocking mean from an action standpoint? Jesus shares how these commands are a prayer formula for the lifestyle of abiding and how this verse leads to a life of constant signs, wonders, and miracles.
